Common Admission Test (CAT)

CAT exam is usually considered to be be the mother of all MBA entrance exams.

CAT Exam is  conducted in the month of November every year.

The test is considered to be the toughest MBA entrance examination of India.

Test Pattern

The paper consists of three sections which includes Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC); Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (LRDI); Quantitative Ability (QA).

Xavier’s Aptitude Test (XAT)

Xavier Labour Relations Institute conducts XAT exam .

XAT is the oldest management entrance tests in India.

XLRI annually conducts XAT exam within the month of January across several cities in India.

Seventy odd Business-schools in India accept XAT scores as its primary admission criteria followed by GD/PI rounds for selection to the institute.

Test Pattern

This examination consists of four main sections : Verbal and Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, Decision Making, and General Awareness

XAT exam pattern underwent a couple of major changes like essay writing section has been removed.

NAT (Numerical Answer Type) Questions has no negative marking.

Candidates can submit the exam after half-hour of commencement.

Scores obtained in GK section won’t be included within the final score or percentile of candidates.

Visually challenged candidates will get an additional 25 minutes for part 1 of XAT paper.

You can leave 8 questions unattempted.

Beyond that a penalty of 0.05 per question are going to be charged.

There is no negative marking for GK section.


Management Aptitude Test (MAT)

MAT Entrance Exam is conducted by All India Management Association.

This exam can be taken up by candidates 4 times in a year.

The scores are widely accepted by several business schools and associate universities across India.

Test Pattern

The MAT Exam consists of 5 sections with 40 questions in each section.

The total duration of the exam is 150 minutes.

The five sections included in the test are :

  • Intelligence and Critical Reasoning

  • Mathematics

  • Data Analysis and Sufficiency

  • Indian and Global Environment


Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP)

Symbiosis International University is one among the well-recognized private B-schools in India.

SNAP is  a national level aptitude test.

SNAP 2020 exam can be attempted twice .

Test Pattern

The new exam pattern consists of three sections only.

The three sections are :

  • General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability
  • Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency
  • Analytical & Logical Reasoning

Narsee Monjee Aptitude Test (NMAT)

NMAT is an MBA entrance examination for securing admission to NMIMS.

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies is  a Mumbai based deemed university, which offers various management courses in several specializations.

NMIMS has acquired quite cult status among aspirants trying to find executive or part-time MBA programs.

Test Pattern

Candidates can appear maximum three times to improve their scores.

The test will include 108 questions for a duration of 120 minutes.

NMAT exam consists of three sections which includes Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, Logical Reasoning.


Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)

CMAT  exam  conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).

The exam helps MBA aspirants to get admissions into post graduate management programs.

100 B-schools across India accept the score of CMAT MBA entrance examination .

Test Pattern

The four sections included in the test are :

  • Quantitative techniques and data interpretation
  • General awareness
  • Logical reasoning
  • Language comprehension

 


Indian Institute Of Foreign Trade (IIFT)

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade is one among the highest B schools in India.

IIFT offers MBA in International Business, which is  the foremost  program as far as management aspirants in India cares .

MBA-IB  aim towards developing capable cadre of business managers who can effectively handle multinational corporations in global setup.

From 2019 onwards, NTA are going to be conducting the IIFT MBA entrance test on behalf of IIFT institute for the candidates seeking admission to the IIFT Delhi and Kolkata campuses.

Test Pattern

Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension,Quantitative Analysis,Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning,General Awareness (GK) are the four sections in the test.

Maharashtra Common Entrance Exam Test. (MH-CET)

MAH-CET is that the main management entrance test for admission to the Two-year Full Time Post Graduate Degree Courses in MBA/MMS and PGDBM/PGDM in Government, University Managed, University Departments and Unaided Institutes within the state of Maharashtra.

Test Pattern

The test includes four sections namely Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Verbal Ability/ Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude.
